Commercial Trials Lifecycle

Currently we are not delivering any face to face training, however we will continue to review the situation in line with the latest government guidelines.

In the meantime we are offering a range of online and virtual training, details of which can be found on the CRN East Midlands Workforce Development Website and NIHR Learn.

Who is the course for?

This course is aimed at Investigators and research staff new to commercial research. The NIHR GCP course is a prerequisite for this course.

Course objective

To provide a foundation of knowledge around the process of getting involved in commercially sponsored and funded research to enable you to develop your site to get involved in commercial research. It offers the opportunity to gain an understanding of the process from finding your first study, through to getting selected, gaining the necessary approvals, recruitment and close down. You will be able to apply relevant knowledge and skills gained from the course to your working environment and you will be able to build on your experience.
