Learning & Development
We offer many opportunities to develop your skills via face to face and also on-line courses.
Our face to face courses include Good Clinical Practice (GCP). This is the international ethical, scientific and practical standard to which all clinical research is conducted. Compliance with GCP provides public assurance that the rights, safety and wellbeing of research participants are protected and that research data are reliable.
We also provide Informed Consent training and our 2 day training course Next Steps in Delivering Clinical Research. The aim of this course is to provide a foundation of knowledge to enable you to develop your practice as a Clinical Research Professional. It offers the opportunity to gain an understanding of the management and running of clinical studies. You will be able to apply relevant knowledge and skills gained from the course to your working environment and you will be able to build on your experience.
There are also opportunities to develop your skills on-line. There are links to Local and national eLeaning programmes on topics like Site file management and clinical research futures.

Currently we are not delivering any face to face training, however we will continue to review the situation in line with the latest government guidelines..
If you are already booked onto a face to face learning session you will receive a cancelation notification from NIHR Learn, but we wanted to provide you with information about alternative learning options in the meantime.
