Fran Hallam-Bowles Physiotherapist Bsc, MPH
Allied Health Professional (AHP) researcher at Nottingham University Hospitals
Background
JI am a physiotherapist with clinical expertise in falls prevention and a Masters in Public Health. I am an AHP Researcher working on a NIHR-funded research programme about implementing falls management approaches in care homes.
As part of this work, I am completing a PhD at the University of Nottingham which explores co-production in care home settings.
Scholarship Project Idea
My project idea is about developing guidance to optimise post-falls management with older people living in care homes. The anticipated impact is improved collaboration and coordination of care across organisations in the event of a fall. A mixed-method approach will be used to develop the guidance. The protected time provided by the Scholarship will be used to build collaborations, work with Patient and Public Involvement advisors and develop a grant application.
