Health and Social Care Research Explained: A Training Environment (CREATE)
The aim of the CREATE course is to enable delegates to confidently apply the skills necessary for the safe delivery of high-quality clinical research in their area of work.
The course is divided into three modules, each focusing on a different area of research practice:
Module 1
will provide you with the background necessary to understand how research is delivered safely and equitably in health and social care and why it is so important.
Module 2
will provide knowledge to support you to develop skills in study delivery, from understanding research language to study design to handling study documentation and the ways studies are managed.
Module 3
will provide a general overview of how studies are set-up from what support is available, to what processes are followed and you will have the opportunity to develop skills and connections for study set up.
We have developed the course as a 'blended' learning package (using eLearning and virtual classrooms) and is primarily aimed at those who have worked in research delivery for less than 12 months.
Learning will take place online and you will be expected to attend 3 consolidation sessions, via Google Meet at the end of each module. This course will run over a 14 week period.
Delegates must have completed GCP training.
For a successful application you must have the support of a local mentor confirmed before applying for this training.
Please note that application completion does not guarantee you a place. We will respond to your application within 5 working days.
Please be advised we can only offer this session to RDN East Midlands, please check your Regionally Delivered Learning - RDN on NIHR Learn for courses /sessions available. Our apologies we will not be able to accommodate outside of this area, RDN East Midlands
